In relation to all questions, side damage caused by front gate pillar, front bumper damage caused in carpark by other driver who drove off and did not leave details or report tapping the front while presumably reversing. Timing belt not due yet. 2 viewings/offers of asking on car already today pending cash availabilty so will get back to the last commenter there if doesnt sell by the evening.

@agannoo78: Hi. I contacted the VW dealer and they told me i need to being the car in and pay 20 quid to get the car checked. Unfortunately i really dont want to be going to that hassle so i think im going to take it down from here and just shift it on ebay for parts.

There is no code information in the log book. I purchased the car from Park Motors at one year old so i am the second owner. If you could advice me as to how i might be able to retrieve the code i might be able to get it for you. There is very little information available online as to how and where i might retrieve the code.
