Yes, to make maximum use of it you would wire up 2 connections from a Sky dish (for the UK channels) and then a connection to an aerial (for the Irish/ Saorview channels). I used mine in Win 7 with Media Centre and was very easy to set up.

I do see your phone as worth a little more than the box but it's going to cost me to unlock it and then it's going to cost a good bit more to post this box down to you than you to post to phone up so taking that into consideration I'd do a straight swap.
However, if you turned up at more door with it in your hand and unlocked I'd give you a few quid extra.
