@G.M Kenny: No it doesn't come with the rechargable battery pack, Just the plug & play cable.
It can be used with normal battery pack to power the controller while plugged into the Xbox360 console but It won't recharge ordinary batterys, just rechargable batteries & the xbox360 rechargable battery pack.

I have a few NDS R4 cards loaded with games if your interested.

Did the console work for awhile after the fuses were bridge?
Is there any signs or damage near fuse 2? Soldering iron damage or melted resistors and capacitors.

Fuse 1 sounds fine since the orange light comes on for 2 seconds.

I have a few Nintendo DS Lite consoles, Used & Refurbished and a shipment of new consoles will be in next week. Also I have all the repair parts needed for DS consoles.

And do you mean the hindge is broken on the top half of your sons DS console? And does it power on or is the top screen damaged preventing the console from powering on.
