Sideshow GI JOE - Crimson Guard Commanders - TOMAX & XAMOT - in Extensive Enterprises business attire - custom 1/6 figure set.

Despite some flaws and shortcomings of Sideshow's G.I. Joe figure line - the biggest of which was their failure to make more different figures rather than different versions of the same figure - it was way better than anything Hasbro made in 1/6 scale for GI Joe. The twins were made to fill out my Cobra collection with more of it's command structure characters.

Figure build (X2)

Easy&Simple: headsculpt, MKIII body, shades;

Amazon Hi-Play Store: suit, shirt, tie, and shoes;

DID: watch;

Jiahou Doll: hand set;

General's Armoury: HK 433 rifle with folding and extending stock, extra clip, suppressor, flip-up iron sights, and one piece multi-sight optic;

DamToys: duffel bag with rolling wheels, simulated cash block, hidden extending handle, and leatherette embellishments.

Rifle (with stock folded), suppressor, and extra clip tuck into the duffel on top of the simulated cash block as shown in the pictures. There is decent room left both under and on top of said block to store more goodies and the block can also be completely removed (as it was for the lead picture) for maximum space. PLEASE NOTE that there is another structure inside the duffel - believe it held accessories for the original DamToys figure it came with - one of said structures has been removed, one has not.

PLEASE NOTE: kitbashing custom figures from different manufacturer's products invariably causes issues with proper and/or correct fitment of those items together in a new figure. The issues with this figure are:

1) Tomax's shirt has experienced some minor yellowing - still white, but not 'brilliant' white. Suspect his position in my display - in occasional sun by an often opened window ;

2) hand pegs more or less match the skin tone of the hands, but are lighter than the skin tone of the body; hand peg tightness aided by some poster putty in the arm holes;

3) pants and shirt have velcro closures but the vest and jacket have real buttons . I lack the magical dexterity and tools needed to properly effect closure without breakage/rippage (something I've done before while taking pictures 🤦) so I have left handling of this detail to yourself;

4) I have no valid explanation as to how I put the scar on the wrong side of Xamot's face - think I was subconsciously influenced by the 12 inch Joes of yesteryear and a voice inquiry to Google which said the scar was on the right cheek 🤷 A new copy of the headsculpt is incoming (think it would make a good Mercer) and I may redo a more prominent scar on the left cheek and use this head for the Mercer. If that happens - this Advert will be cancelled and a new one will be created (at a higher asking price).

5) the extending handle mechanism on the duffel bags works just like the real thing - but it is plastic and fragile! The handle grip typically pops off one side or the other when pulling the handle out - sometimes leading to needing to shake the duffel or utilise tweezers to get the extending poles out. Handle grip has recessed holes into which the poles can be easily reattached once they are extended.

Think that covers all the potential issues and cons with this figure set - hopefully the pictures show all the pros! Of course, these can be any characters you prefer if you don't want them to be the financial brains behind Cobra - it is a quality OOAK custom set regardless. Make it yours before someone else makes it theirs!
