Hi ive placed an order, but i thought i could comment alongside it?.. I wanted to know what brand n model number are they, so i know the shielding type etc. Canford/belden/canare? Thanks, you sound like a cool dude to the comment from the other guy, starquad has slightly more resistance but you should probably buy presoldered cables m8

Star Quad has more capacitance... that is the reason the high frequencies get cut off as the cable gets longer, and in fact have less resistance due to having twice the amount of copper to go through than standard cable. So to audio warehouse, this is more than an opinion\ hocus pocus as you seem to be suggesting. And yudhisthira, I have 45 years experience soldering cables and circuit boards.
Why the F should I buy presoldered cable M8 ?

@yudhisthira: the cable was manufactured by a company called Conducful based in spain. They closed down last year due to the decline in the business for conventional analogue cable but in the day made branded cables for the likes of Kelsey and Bryant. i was dealing with them for many years and am rolling out remaining stock of which the Star Quad forms part. Let me know what suits, i also have at the same price conventional mic cable but in a light Blue outer sleeve, both types in 100mt rolls.

@yudhisthira: The other gentleman is IN FACT totally correct, however the significance over a short distance cable such as say an 8mt mic cable is something like -0.02dB at 20 KHz and even then ONLY that bad if there are issues with the driver and load impedances. There is an argument then that the standard of the connection made when soldering can be a factor regardless of cable and on a cable that is plugged in and out the contact pins can become contaminated and be a factor too over time. I would suggest that in most setups there are likely many more factors not least monitor placement that have far greater effect on HF response in the final mix. Where cable is concerned the sky is the limit especially among Audiophiles and if you want the dogs digery we also supply premade Vovox cables where a 6mt mic cable can cost up to and in excess of €150. in the biz too a long long time and not looking for a tech shootout by any means.
