Hello,
I have searched online for the specs for this model and have had no luck. Could you tell me how heavy the tripod is and what sort of weight it could support. I need a travel tripod for a TLR camera which weighs about 1kg.
Thanks.

@Workswelder Hi there. I'll check that and come back to you.

@Workswelder Hi. You're right, it's very difficult to find anything about this model online. Might have something to do with the fact that its production was discontinued quite some time ago.

I managed to find a mention of it on DigitalPreview's forum thread from 2004.
Here it is :
"I've had a a Velbon Victory 150 for over 20 years and it's beat all to hell but it still works and the legs still slide easily and it all works just fine. I've used it with my Nikon FT, my Panasonic Camcorder and now with my Fuji s7000. I don't think it's made any more but I can just attest that Velbon makes a good product. Oh and I can "invert" the center tube and use it for Macro."

You might try and look it up on Velbon's website https://www.velbon.com/jp/catalog/discon/productsdiscon.html

As far as your questions go: The tripod weighs exactly 1515 grams without the quick release plate attached (because it's missing). Maximum load would be around 4-5kg I'd say.

Hope that helps. Cheers.

Thank you very much for that. I think I'll hunt around for something a bit lighter. I could easily be at 3kg of photo gear before I have my toothbrush packed! Thanks again and good luck with the sale.

@Workswelder Not at all. I'm also considering selling my Hama Star 61 tripod which I've been happily using since new. It weighs only 1185 grams and comes with quick release plate. Any good to you?

Thanks again. I think I'm going to spend a little more money and go for a Manfrotto lightweight travel tripod.
