Condition and maintenance :

All 6 glow plugs changed, timing belt changed, and diesel pump replaced; these are normal wear items that would be expected to be changed every now and again. A common issue that can happen with the Bongos are with the heating/cooling system. However, it has not been an issue: all the hoses are good, the radiator works well, and as a precaution, there is a cooling sensor that will alert you if coolant is low.
The camper conversion was done to a very high standard, and we’ve kept the vehicle well maintained, but there are a couple of small things she needs: the water tank for the sink is cracked and needs replacing and the A/C needs recharging. Other than that, she is running very well. We tried to keep her as clean as possible, using seat covers for front and rear seats the whole time we had her, leaving the plastic wrap on the floor to keep it protected, and we are non-smokers. She was great to have over COVID, but it is time to pass her on to the next adventurer since she deserves to be used and we haven’t had the time over the last year with our child’s school schedule. The Bongo is an older, but reliable vehicle. We have kept up on the maintenance since we got her (4 years ago), and she was just given a clean CVRT bill of health in Feb 2024. With proper care, she will go forever.
