Italian ceramic snail flower holder
Italian ceramic snail flower holder
Description
A snail-shaped ceramic *pique-fleurs* (also known as a flower frog) designed for creating stable floral arrangements.
Vessels of this type, featuring holes in the shell, allow for the precise placement of individual flower stems. The model presented here is a classic piece of white glazed ceramic in the vintage style of iconic Italian art pottery from the Bassano region. It features a fine, raised texture mimicking snail skin and a smooth, spiral shell with openings for flowers.
