Get a Strat or get a Les Paul?
Each has its strengths but using 2 guitars at a gig is a hassle. Gibson's answer was to put both into one guitar. A 2-way switch easily shifts between Strat and Les Paul setups.

In Strat mode, it has the 3 single coil pickups with angled bridge pickup and standard 5 position switching, including the neck+mid and mid+bridge switch positions.

In Les Paul mode, it has humbucking neck and bridge pickups for thicker sounds.

The construction is very solid, physically closer to a Les Paul in feel but lighter. The wood and hardware has a quality feel including a very nice natural wood grain.

The neck pickup has been changed by the previous owner to a Gibson USA HB-R "The Original" (Bill Lawrence) pickup . Sonically this adds more neck tonal range with humbucking and split single coil options. However the mounting ring is plastic, when a brass/metal one would have looked better. Easily remedied but thought it worth mentioning.

The result is a diverse range of quality sounds from a single guitar. Have a quick search on sites like Reverb and read many users complementing this guitar's tonal range and build.

Pity the neck pickup has been changed bro I've been looking for this exact guitar for years! Do you have the original as I could possibly get a piece of maple inserted and re routed for the mini humbucker.

@stylophone I got it like this. It's a nice pickup but understand if you want it original. Do you like the Gibson Nighthawk ST3?

A fab looking guitar, one I would love to have played and tested but I'm down south so a bit far away for a test run but it should sell fairly fast for you. GLWS

Hi, I see three tiny little holes on the body, one on the bottom of the guitar and two near the bridge plate which I'm sure it doesn't affect the sound but was whoever doing what they were trying to do maybe trying to put a bigsby tremolo on it?? Just a question you might be able to answer. Cheers fellow

@crowterman: From a Roland GK pickup

Ah, that explains it then, no worries they don't take from the guitar.
