The Q Acoustics Media 4 (M4) Sound bar with built-in subwoofer and Bluetooth - PRICE REDUCED

UPDATE. Price reduced as the bluetooth function doesn't seem to be working.

4 years old, used but perfect condition. Paid €499.

Excellent sound bar. Not being used as I have a different sound system connected at the moment. Product of the Year, Awards 2015 (What Hi-Fi).

The Q Acoustics Media 4 sound bar is a high performance active speaker, designed to deliver high fidelity music and high quality audio from a TV, set top box, tablets and smartphones.

The Q Acoustics Media 4 sound bar features advanced ‘BMR’ (Balanced Mode Radiator) speaker drive units, which produce extraordinarily wide sound dispersion. This not only creates clear room filling sound, but also means every listener will enjoy the same outstanding sound quality wherever they sit in the listening room.

The Media 4 sound bars real bass is created by its acoustically matched, built-in, high performance subwoofer. You will enjoy a genuine ‘cinema’ audio experience with the Media 4 soundbar, compared with using your TV speakers alone.

Naturally, because the Q Media 4 is a ‘Hi-Fi’ Soundbar, it is designed to play music and movies with equal accomplishment.

With both analogue and optical inputs, the unit is in reality a complete one-box, standalone hi-fi system in its own right. It can also be used with a variety of other entertainment sources such as streaming services like Spotify, CD players, portable music players, computers and internet radio.

I'm looking to get a soundbar to hook up to a projector. Would need the BT. Any interest in a sonos play 1? Am shifting it to make way for SB
bemak 10 hours ago
when you're testing the BT, maybe try turning off the wifi first - it's been known to cause interference on these.

@bemak: can't get it to work unfortunately.

Ah that's a pity

Any interest in a sonos play1? I'm tempted to give this a go despite the BT not working. Could run a lead to the Aux in.
makaulay 4 hours ago
@bemak: Hi, the sound bar works fine with the aux or optical cable. Not sure if I need the play 1 as i've just added a load of speakers to my system already.
bemak 3 hours ago
ya course. Unfortunately the Play1 doesn't have BT either - wouldn't need anything if it did. I use an Nvidia Shield with the projector, neither of which has an optical out. I'd rather BT connection because the shield & PJ will be at the opposite end of the room to the soundbar.

if you change your mind let me know. I'd chance trying it for a swap.
