The Role
Small manufacturing firm in County Wexford, is seeking an individual with experience working in a fast-paced production facility, to improve the operations of the fabrication processes and improve products. Elements of this position are to work with the Production Operatives and the Laboratory on a very hands-on basis to increase efficiencies, reduce scraps and stock levels and deal with a wide-ranging manner of day to day problems.

Process Improvements

o Improve SOPs
o Planning of production
o Reduction of scrap
o Reduction of down time
o Refine product specifications to utilize minimum of raw material
o Evaluate new materials and suppliers
o 5S and Lean practice management
Product Improvement
Product Improvement

o Work with management and lab to evaluate alternate materials of construction to reduce costs and increase performance
o Innovate new product designs within parameters dictated by industry standards
Laboratory Operations
o Learn all aspects of testing and measurement of product quality
Quality Management
o Learn and operate quality management system

Involvement in
o H&S systems
o Preventive Maintenance system
o HR issues
