Our client, a blue-chip multinational catering company, is currently recruiting for a Quality Assurance Manager with responsibility for ensuring applicable QA systems are managed effectively, monitoring and developing standards and monitoring any customer and consumer complaints followed by the required corrective action. Accountable for the adherence to all relevant standards and legislation including the development of management systems, HACCP compliance, customer policies, labelling and audit management. The role will have a global exposure to colleagues in the same role and will have the opportunity train and visit the company’s catering operations in the UK. •Logging and checking of all internal HACCP and food safety documentation against company standards to ensure compliance. Feeding back to the departmental managers/ Compliance Manager on deviations and ensuring that corrective actions are noted.
•Assessment of the company HACCP against new products to ensure controls are adequate at a local level
•Conducts daily checks in various process areas for compliance in food safety standards including calibration / checking of unit thermometers and scales.
•Assisting the unit management team with the Quality Control of finished products by carrying out spot checks on flight components to confirm adherence to specification. This will include Chef Tables, Portion Controls, Equipment/ stores checks, bar checks and pick checks
•Conduct internal Food Safety and Health and Safety audits, feedback results and monitor corrective actions
•Conduct food checks to confirm adherence to both Allergen/ FIR regulations and Halal Compliance
•Prepare for Customer Visits and assist with dealing with Customers/ Auditors when on site.
•Spot check/ verification of adherence to HACCP processes and CCPs
•Participates and contributes to continuous improvement of departmental SOPs.
•Conducts internal audits within the unit.
•Conducts routine laboratory analysis of food, water and environmental samples.
•Reduces the customer complaints to the lowest level by establishing the proper control of all food safety hazards.
•Monitors the hygiene standards which includes the cleaning and sanitation in the unit and ensure compliance with the standards.
•Evaluates the product specifications, standards, protocols and quality control and new product development.
•Executes training programs that support the Company’s objectives with regard to quality and food safety
•Monitors the pest control management of different process areas and report to the General Manager.
•Performing any other quality functions and reporting all the issues on a daily basis to the General Manager.
•Maintaining and updating all the food safety and quality records.

•Minimum Bachelor’s degree in food technology/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ any other life sciences.
•Related experience in a similar role with experience within a Halal environment an advantage but not essential.
•Experience in an industrial catering environment would be an advantage.
•Advanced HACCP training.
•Previous work experience in catering/ hotels/ hospitality or food manufacturing industry.
