The story begins when distress calls started coming into the X-Mansion, and Jubilee was picking up on them. They were coming in from all over the place--The Avengers, S.H.I.E.L.D., Fantastic Four, Wakanda. Logan then realizes that it's a bad idea to be sitting in the X-Mansion.
Suddenly an explosion goes off that sends shrapnel flying through Jubilee's head--killing her instantly, and through the hole in the wall emerges Absorbing Man, Blob, Bullseye, Dr. Octopus, Green Goblin, Klaw, Lady Deathstrike, Mr. Hyde, Mr. Sinister, Omega Red, Sabretooth, Scorpion, Shocker, Silver Samurai, Stryfe and Titanium Man.
Peter Petruski (Earth-807128), Norman Osborn (Earth-807128), James Howlett (Earth-807128), and Keniuchio Harada (Earth-807128) from Wolverine Vol 3 70 001
The children and the younger students manage to make it to the escape tunnels beneath the mansion. As just as Logan finishes off what seems like the last of the villains, Bullseye, he begs Logan to stop, asking him why he did this, he's supposed to be their friend.
It's then that Logan realizes that something is very, very wrong. He looks down, realizing it's not Bullseye, but Jubilee; and he killed her himself. In fact, everyone of the villains he killed, was actually one of the X-Men, taken off guard by a sudden outburst. They all hesitated, unsure of what to do, and that hesitation killed them. Mysterio, then thanked Wolverine, for taking the X-Men off the board, as the criminals in the Marvel Universe stage their takeover. Logan turns, and among the bodies visible are Beast, Cannonball, Colossus, Cyclops, Forge, Gambit, Havok, Iceman, Jubilee, Longshot, Nightcrawler, Polaris, Psylocke and Storm.
In the present, Hawkeye and Logan continue to talk about it, with Logan revealing that he wandered through the woods after that for weeks, sobbing and crying. Animals stayed away from, and eventually, he tired to kill himself by lying down in front of a freight train. It wouldn't kill him, sure. But it'd hurt, and sometimes, as Logan puts it, that's enough; and Logan explains that's why Hawkeye can never ask him to fight again--because for what he did, he feels he deserves to die, rather than fight.
The next day, the two resume their trip through "Dwight's Toll." Dwight a young man who's got Ant Man's helmet, and anybody that doesn't pay him an eighty cent toll gets devoured by millions of ants. Hawkeye pays the toll, as the Spider-Buggy drives through, skulls can be seen in the ravine the bridge passes over, indicating Dwight was deathly serious. However, once they get as far as Doom's Head, Illinois, though, a nasty bit of the past catches up with them, in the form of a T-Rex with the Venom symbiote on it.
