The SC6 is an input/output breakout box for smartphones and tablets. With two TRRS inputs and one stereo headphone output, the unit connects to any TRRS device and allows the use of one or two smartLav microphones as well as headphones for monitoring and playback. With the SC6 users can monitor audio from the smartLav, as well as input two smartLavs into the one mono channel in interview or dual-dialogue scenarios. (Note that the two microphone inputs will be recorded to the same channel)

@RoseRoyce: yes, if you are collecting as handy tp present car at gate, alternatively call ahead and pay over phone on 018512596. Tell the chap there who wont be aware of this that you are paying 15 euro for a rode sc6 to collect. the SC1 is an extension cable not a converter so both ends are TRRS

Brilliant thanks for the info. I’ll ring ahead. Just to be 100% sure - there’s a female trs input for headphones on this so I can run trs to rca cable from my desk

@RoseRoyce: i dont mean to be difficult here but both devices are for use with a Rode Smartlav mic and device with TRRS I/O. The SC1 is simply a TRRS extension, the SC6 allows 2 x TRRS mics to connect to a phone and receive the headphone back out, RCA which is phono does not come into it

Hi, I'm looking to use a rode camcorder mic. with a laptop either via usb or the standard 3.5 mic. jack on the system. I have XLR to the 'large' mic adaptor (about double the size of the hole in the side of the laptop) Do you have anything to bridge XLR > 3.5 or XLR > USB? Thanks :)
