Electric kalimba / thumb piano

I’ve made another batch of these as there is continued interest.

This one a piece of salvaged teak board and hand wood stripboard, shaped and finished by hand, and finished with blue tinted shellac using a french polishing method.

Alpha posts, Panasonic caps and a switchcraft jack, all competently wired up. I’ve modified both the wiring and location of controls from earlier versions based on feedback - this gives a warmer tone with a more usable hi cut, and the location of the knobs on the back mean they are not in the way when you’re playing!

Two nice chunky green mustang style knobs, and a strip of 3ply pickguard material finish the package off.

Unique, cool sounding instrument, amplified output of a medium output single coil guitar, great through pedals
