Schleich American Barn Limited Edition set, number 72102 - issued in 2016 with an 800 unit production run, retired in 2018. It was the first time Schleich made a production run of less than 2000 pieces.

A defining set that picked a specific location theme - the classic red American Barn.

Interior space has both cattle and pig pen enclosures and a parking area for the Schleich Farm World tractor or it's tipper trailer as well as second floor storage for additional accessories like hay bales, feed bags, etc. Overhead rail has a fully functional claw to simulate the transport of hay and feed through the interior and exterior hay doors. An amazing recreation of a full scale barn offering hours of immersive playtime.

This set is complete except for the external wire post cattle enclosure that displayed outside the cattle door on the barn's right side. I have made up for this minor flaw by including 12 vintage Schleich wood fence pieces (pictured) - allowing for a much larger enclosure than the original wire posts. There is one broken piece on the entire set - one of the grab pegs for the exterior pig pen enclosure shown in the above pictures.

This incredible set can be nearly doubled in size by strategic placement of the removable roof sections outside the edges of the main building. The set already takes up quite a bit of space - the barn building itself measuring 16 inches wide and 21 inches in length. At the roof center point, it is 12 and a half inches tall. All original accessories - aside from the aforementioned wire posts - are included and can be verified against the pictures of the original assembly instructions. There are several bonus items - including another exceptionally rare Angus cow calf.
