I am,looking for a tilt for a Johnson 60hp
desperatedanny 8 months ago
@alberto: Hi. What year is that Johnson?
And is it electric tilt or just gas assist?
alberto 8 months ago
I am not sure i will have to check. Just starting on the boat hobby. I think I left also another question on a different add ;)
alberto 8 months ago
What is the difference between electric and gas assisted? Also on the price range
desperatedanny 8 months ago
@alberto found that question. Electric tilt has a motor and hydraulic pump and is controlled by a rocker switch on the remote gear/throttle lever. Gas assist is just like a strut which makes the engine lighter to tilt by hand. (A bit like the struts that hold up the boot of cars? !!)
The year and model of your engine should tell which one you have on yours.

Would you have a manifold elbow from a 3.0 litre mercruiser engine? Just the elbow part
desperatedanny 2 months ago
@Ger.S hi. I think there's a few bits there for that engine. I'll let you know tomorrow if I can locate the part you need.

Ger.S 2 months ago
Any luck with that?
desperatedanny 2 months ago
@Ger.s sorry. I forgot to respond.
I checked alright but there's no elbow there.
There's a block, sump, a manifold and a few other little bits but no elbow. (Oh, and I'll give a good deal to anyone who wants the whole lot!) I don't really do inboards much.
Ger.S 2 months ago
No worries cheers anyway. It's just the elbow I need if you see if one anywhere . Thanks
desperatedanny 2 months ago
@Ger.S I'll keep you in mind if anything comes up.

@Ger.S if you're still looking there's an elbow advertised on done deal in the boat extras section at the moment. It's in among a job lot of mercruiser parts but he's selling them separate too.
