The shelter is designed with Sentinel Active 150 Denier polyester fabric, and can be easily attached to the side of the camper van, but can also free-stand in the event the vehicle is required off-site. The clever Airbeam design ensures it can be pitched quickly, and also set-down in quick-time, ideal for touring camping.

Updated Fabric: Revamped for the new camping season, with the 150 Denier polyester fabric (updated from 70 Denier), a more durable product whilst still retaining great lightweight features, to ensure the Cove is still ideal for touring.
Free-Standing Design: The Cove III is essentially a tent with a connecting panel to the camper van, therefore it is designed to stand alone, without the need for the van for structure. This allows the vehicle to be taken off-site, and the connecting panel is easily rolled away neatly. After returning to the campsite, simply reattach the connecting panel via the chosen connection method.
Airbeam Construction: An inflatable design is robust and durable and offers the camper a quick set up and set down, with an optimum pitching time of ten minutes.
Sewn-In Groundsheet: A fully sewn-in groundsheet with a drop-down door side door into the habitation door, with toggled points on the groundsheet, to connect to the flysheet door. The sewn-in groundsheet will add comfort, protecting from the elements, and the bugs.
Sideways Fitting (Parallel): Optimising the floorplan and campsite pitch space, the sideways fitting shelter sits "side-by-side" with the camper van, giving ample living, storage, and sleeping space.

The Vango Cove III Air drive-away awning offers the most popular format and design, combining the innovative Airbeam design for easier pitching with a NEW Sentinel Active 150 Denier, premium polyester fabric. The Cove III features a parallel design, sitting side by side with the camper van, maximising the space available on the campsite pitch. Packed with Vango features and specifications, including a sewn-in groundsheet, full standing height, and optional extras such as inner bedrooms to enhance the comfort and versatility of the shelter.

Overview:

Upgraded for the new camping season, the Vango Cove III Air has a more durable 150 Denier fabric but still encompasses all the great features, which make the awning such a popular hit with camper van owners. The beauty of the shelter is it will double the living space of any camper van, free-standing next to the vehicle and connecting securely via the connecting panel between the shelter and the van. The perfect area for storage, dining, and shelter from the elements, an additional BR001 (sold separately) sleeping compartment can also be added for a two-person sleeping pod.

Ideal For: Ideal for couples or smaller families wanting a spacious drive-away awning, which has a side attachment, to sit parallel with the camper van. The Cove III balances great quality and durability with a lightweight design, making it ideal for touring.

Key Features:

Airbeam Structure: The inflatable structure makes for an easier pitching and set-down experience, allowing the awning to be pitched in ten minutes (allowing more time for the first couple of pitches). Each Airbeam is individually inflated using the provided Air pump, which is rolled inside the middle of the package.
Drive Away Design: Free-standing design allows the product to be left on-site, whilst the van is disconnected and removed from the campsite for the day.
Parallel Format: The Cove III sits sideways, essentially mirroring the footprint of the camper van. This offers greater use of the living space on a campsite pitch and also allows the Cove to look onto a view, and not the neighbouring pitch.
Upgraded Fabric: The polyester fabric has been upgraded for the III version of the Cove, offering a Sentinel 150 Denier fabric (formerly 70 Denier), ensuring a more durable design, but still retaining a low weight of 17.3kg for touring purposes.
Pre-Attached Front Canopy: A key feature of the Cove III is the open front canopy, which is pre-built onto the shelter, providing great social, dining, and storage space, whilst also providing a rain-safe entry into the front of the Cove.
Sewn-in Groundsheet: The living space has a sealed groundsheet, which has drop-down doors to the side door for wheelchair/pram access. The groundsheet toggles to the flysheet doors on the side door. The front door is a full-sealed step-over door.
Roll-Away Connecting Panel: Attaches to the camper van in four possible methods (listed below), and provides a storage space between the camper van and the shelter, with two doors for easier access into the van, without having to go through the Cove III.
Mesh Panel Secondary Door: The front door has a secondary mesh panel to allow plenty of airflow throughout, increase breathability, and reduce the condensation effects in wetter weather. Furthermore, provides a breeze on warmer days, without bugs being able to access the Cove.
Optional Additions: Add a bedroom sleeping compartment (BR001), a universal carpet (CP004), and groundsheet protector (GP001), all of which will enhance the camping experience.

Methods of Attachment

Pre Attached Kador Rail 6mm - slides straight into a rail, or wind out awning. (Fiamma Requires a 4mm Drive Away Kit). Purchase a drive-away kit for the ability to be able to drive off-site.
Velcro Straps - easily attach to roof bars should the van have these.
Sleeve for Pole and Clamp Kit to allow for older styles of van which have a gutter fitted to the side of the van.
8M Storm Straps - can be thrown over the vehicle and pegged down the other side.
