goldwing20 asked a question 03/10/2011 8:53 pm (7 months ago):wouldyou be interested in atrade for my items?
robtq asked a question 04/10/2011 11:10 am (7 months ago):I'd be interested in the Godin A6 all right, but I bought one in March last (2011) for €350. The newer ones with the magnetic pickup as well as the transducer are selling at about €450-500 at the moment. Shame really, I also have a 12-string Godin that I'll be playing on the day I die, I love it so much.
I'll take it as a part-trade though, what do you think?
stevecomputer asked a question 16/01/2012 5:37 pm (4 months ago):How is all down there? Hope you are doing well, could you tell me the nut width please? Thanks very much.
Freya Guitars says 16/01/2012 6:23 pm (4 months ago):@stevecomputer: Nut width is 43mm. Things are great down here, the oul' economy could be better though, how's it where you are?
stevecomputer asked a question 16/01/2012 9:31 pm (4 months ago):Quiet, still above ground though! Are you on g talk these days? I'll contact you there one of the days. I use an SOS compensating nut that's 1"11/18 42.5mm that I'd like to keep. Check them on the net, they do a great job of the tuning. Thanks and chat soon.

BIGDOGG asked a question 21/01/2012 12:01 pm (3 months ago):offer 400. i need another acoustic to standby for my gibson.
adayean asked a question 17/02/2012 11:53 am (3 months ago):offer 450
Freya Guitars says 17/02/2012 3:20 pm (3 months ago):@adayean: If you can go to €500 I'll even include the shipping on this.
nominal asked a question 22/02/2012 8:34 pm (2 months ago):Do you accept trades?
Freya Guitars says 22/02/2012 9:51 pm (2 months ago):@nominal: Sometimes, what do you have?
nominal asked a question 22/02/2012 9:55 pm (2 months ago):An SG special(USA), worn brown.
Freya Guitars says 23/02/2012 2:13 pm (2 months ago):@nominal: What sort of a deal are you thinking of?
nominal asked a question 23/02/2012 2:39 pm (2 months ago):I hadnt really thought about that, I guess I'd have to give you some cash!!! €80? I've put locking grover tuners on with the tulip style heads - (same shape as originals but silver rather than green). I'm not sure of the perfect condition value of the guitar so its being sold as a slight second? I'd like to try it but Kilkenny may not be a journey I'll be taking too soon. Are you ever in Dublin?
Freya Guitars says 23/02/2012 3:37 pm (2 months ago):@nominal: That SG sells for €611 on Thomann including gigbag. Bear in mind, I'll be taking that in trade to resell again, and it may sit here for a bit before it goes. Retail selling price, used, in good condition is usually 60% of new, €366, but it is a Gibson so we'll say €400 (yes, I know you'll see higher pricetags in some shops, but what they ask and what they actually get are two different things). Normally we would offer 70% of the selling price (€280), but again, it is a Gibson so we can offer you €350, leaving a balance of €249.99. The Freya guitar is already heavily discounted at €599.
nominal asked a question 23/02/2012 4:28 pm (2 months ago):They sell on here for between 450 to 500 anyway so 450 would be the least you'd get in the shop. I'd include the gig bag, wrench and original setup tag and booklet. That would get you approx 100 profit on the Gibson. I'd have to raise the cash so 250 might be a but more than I have even after selling some gear, I have a nice fuchs audio compressor too. I'll put pictures of any stuff I'm goin to sell and let you know so you can see the sg. Hopefully we can come to an agreement of sorts. But are you ever in Dublin? It's just a heck of a lot easier to get to!!!
nominal asked a question 23/02/2012 4:32 pm (2 months ago):I meant Killarney earlier obviously!!
Freya Guitars says 23/02/2012 8:17 pm (2 months ago):@nominal: We do get to Dublin on occasion, even Dunkalk sometimes LOL!!
I know you understand that as a business we have to have cash flow and make a bit of profit to stay afloat, and we'd be pricing that Gibson fairly aggressively to move it. With all the discounting going on these days we don't have much room for trading anymore, the new stuff is so cheap it's taking the value out of used gear. These acoustics originally sold for €899, they're top-class, and at €599 this last one's a steal. They were a limited run, I kept one for myself and gig it on occasion using a Dean Markley Pro Mag soundhole pickup, and it's the best sounding acoustic I've ever played, me who also loves Godin Acousticasters with the LR Baggs system....
There's nothing like this for the price on the market.
nominal asked a question 24/02/2012 8:00 pm (2 months ago):@Freya Guitars it seems pretty decent alright. I really would like one with a pickup. But will see how things move over the next few weeks!! Thanks!
Freya Guitars says 24/02/2012 8:38 pm (2 months ago):@nominal: Not a problem. Reason we didn't spec these with pickups is that the opening for the preamp section takes from the sound of the guitar, and our recommendation is the Fishman endpin preamp that doesn't need a great big hole made on the top bout. No problem to fit a pickup, I use my own guitar with a Dean Markley Pro Mag soundhole pickup and it's the best sound I've ever heard. I have another older acoustic with a top-of-the-range Fishman Prefix Pro, but I prefer the Pro Mag as it doesn't have the "quack" of the undersaddle transducer. Of course, YRMV.........
Anyway, like I say, this is the last one of these available, and, like I say, it's a steal.......
Marshall123 asked a question 25/02/2012 2:18 am (2 months ago):Interested in trade of a Gibson sg special? With Seymour Duncan ll pickups,
Freya Guitars says 25/02/2012 11:33 am (2 months ago):@Marshall123: Which SG Special is it?
Marshall123 asked a question 25/02/2012 12:57 pm (2 months ago):It's a USA Gibson sg special -worn cherry effect, since I put the new pickups in its only been played for a few hours
Freya Guitars says 25/02/2012 4:30 pm (2 months ago):@Marshall123: That SG Special is €611 on Thomann. We'd need €250 plus the SG to make it work for us. We'd price that SG at €400 to move it on, and take the nearest reasonable offer. The acoustic is heavily discounted as it it.
