Beautifull 2002 Martin D15S, 12 fret slothead all mahogany dreadnaught. Really deep powerful tone and lovely wide neck for fingerstlye. Picked this up on here during the summer from Roughdiamond (sound bloke who really knows his acoustics) as a trade for my custom shop strat, I got 2 martins this and a D28 with the intention of selling both of them on straightaway but I couldnt bear to part with this one, unfortunately due to circumstances beyond my control (damn christmas) Ill have to let her go now. Might take a cheaper parlour type acoustic or resonator in part exchange as long as I have enough cash my way, price on this is firm. These were the last of the true all mahogany martins before they went to sapele. the previous owner had this set up to perfection by derek nelson.

@smallobear:hi man according to the serial number its 2001-2002 so approx 10 years old. According to the guy I got it from these were the last year of all mahogany d15s before they started using sapele and spanish cedar.

The other SG1K guy decided SGs were not for him in the end... oh well... shame... we recently became a five-piece and that means I need to play acoustic on a few tunes... so... on the look out ;)

Hi smallobear. Thanks for the offer but I'd need to be getting closer to the action. Has a beautiful mellow tone with the mahogany and the d size body giving it great power for strumming , however with any acoustic you'd have to try it yourself as they all differ slightly. I'm based in cork so if your ever down this way your welcome to try it out. Not sure when I'll next be in dublin but I'll give you a shout if I am.

Hi man how's life treating you, to be honest I'm only moving the martin as I need to get in a few bob. I dont know much about the fender resonators but one the same as yours on adverts sold for about €200 so I'd be needing about 700 with yours . What's the condition of it and does it have a case?

@messyties:No bother man , just a note though this is not the standard d15 it's the d15s 12 fret and is solid mahogany not sapele like the new ones, the cheapest eBay price for the sapele is 1099 sterling.

Martin have just launched 2 new models in the 15 range, the 000-15sm and dc-15me which have solid mahogany instead of sapele. they are reviewed in this months guitar and bass magazine and are listed at 1399 sterling.

Wexford. best I could do is add another 75 euro for your travel expenses, but best of luck with your sale anyways :) I recently gave up playing music for good and sold almost all my gear incl. some great instruments, but thought I might get one good acoustic for when the fingers get itchy :)
