Hi there, I found this through the following thread I made: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056328411

As you can see, reliability is a big issue, the most important infact. Can you give me an idea of the overall condition of this boat and the engine too? Should it be expected that investment will be needed to upgrade, fix and repair anything?

Sorry, also meant to ask, can you provide more pictures please? A lot more if possible, intereior, close up of underside, engine etc etc :)

@cormie:
Understandable. I was only down there yesterday to take photos of it with the sails up and everything so I'll post them over the weekend.
Im selling this for my Dad so im not too familiar but the engine is a 6HP engine not 14HP as previously advised.

Thanks

@cormie:
No there is no need for any repairs or any need to put additional money into the boat. There could be some room for minor interior updates depending on taste.

alaverdi asked a question 25/12/2011 2:21 pm (4 months ago):

Merry Christmas,johnnyb101, I'd be interested,but as we are looking for a family boat,and it'd be our first,I'd like to know,would it be suitable for a family,I mean,if we'd decide to go fishing and spend a few days in Cork or Kerry,could we also live on board? Is there a place to sleep,to cook and so on,or is it a day boat only?
Also,what papers do you need to sail the boat? Do you need a special course?
We do have a great interest and we'd buy it straightaway if all ifs 'd come together,if you know,what I mean?
Thanks a lot.
We're looking for a kind for some time now and I'd like to have it done before Summer,if possible.

johnnyb101 says 30/12/2011 10:49 am (4 months ago):

@alaverdi:
Hi Alaverdi. This would be a day boat, you could sleep on the boat as there is room but not enough for a family. You dont need any papers or special course needed, Once purchased the boat is simply registered to you. You dont need any boating licence or anything like that. If you wish to insure the boat Zurich do a marine pleasure craft policy.
The boat is out of the water now and is in Swords.

I have to say I would only recommend this as a day boat, there would be enough room both inside and out for a family to go fishing and just relax.

I would recommend that you have a look.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Happy Christmas and New year.

@Paddy Czech:
Hi Paddy
Thanks for your interest.
Yes the boat is still for sale. The boat would be big enough to sleep 2 and a dog but there are no cooking or toilet facilities on board.

johnnyb101

@Ramstein: Hi Insurance on a boat is not compulsory just depends on where you intend to keep it moored. If its in a sheltered area etc.
