VAG-COM Diagnostic interface for VW/Audi/Seat & Skoda (genuine Ross Tech)

Selling my genuine Ross-Tech KEY-USB diagnostic interface. This interface works with most diagnostic-capable VW, Audi, Seat, and Skoda models from 1990 through 2004 but does not work with any model requiring a direct CAN connection for diagnostics. If you have a 2003+, you may have a CAN interface which requires a different interface.

KEY-USB Features: http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/kii-usb.html

With this cable you get to use the full functionality of the latest VAG-COM software from Ross Tech. The cable is a dongle that provides the license to open the software fully. Don't be confused with third party cables from ebay that can only be used with release 409 and older software with limited functions. This cable allows the full use of release 908 and future upgrades of VAG-COM. See http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/index.html for software details and the latest updates.

See http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/cars/index.html for common things that can be done on various car models.

Price: 160 euros + P&P
Not interested in swaps/trades. Interface is in perfect condition and was purchased directly from Ross-Tech. Selling as I do not use it enough.

100 cash
Zith says 04/11/2009 1:08 pm (5 years ago):
Hi dd, thanks for the offer but it's too low. 180 is good value for a genuine interface.
danielle_door asked a question 04/11/2009 1:08 pm (5 years ago):
$250 new....
Zith says 04/11/2009 1:23 pm (5 years ago):
$250 + delivery + VAT + customs duty.
danielle_door asked a question 04/11/2009 1:28 pm (5 years ago):
still 180 is crazy, 100 is a decent offer on a usb lead you dont use
Zith says 04/11/2009 1:44 pm (5 years ago):
250 dollars = roughly 170 euros
170 + 21.5% vat + 13% duty = around 250 euros.

Alternatively get it via a UK distributor and still end up paying 240 odd euro because they have paid the VAT and duty on it already.

This is not just a USB lead. It is a diagnostic interface for VW/Audi/SEAT/Skoda line of cars. It includes a license for the VAG-COM software inside the interface in hardware.

Without this license you cannot run the latest VAG-COM software. You can only run an old version with limited functions and limited diagnostic codes decoded.

If you just want a USB lead then go buy a USB cable. If you want a cheap way to hook up to your car then get an ebay OBD-II interface for 20 euro and run the old release of VAG-COM with the crippled functions.

If you want virtually the same access to your cars functions as one of those big diagnostic machines in a garage then buy one of these. You will not get one for 100 euro.

Thanks for the interest but I will not sell this for 100 euro.

ok cool offer stands
Zith says 05/11/2009 9:51 am (5 years ago):
ok noted but would rather keep it than let it go for much under 180.
golfbgud asked a question 05/11/2009 7:49 pm (5 years ago):
Is this product and its associated license fully transferable? Is there support to go with it from Ross? Thanks.
Zith says 05/11/2009 10:53 pm (5 years ago):
The license is embedded with the cable. Yes it is automatically valid on whatever PC you connect it to. The Ross-Tech support is not transferrable. I never needed it to be honest. Is there something specific you are concerned about?
Zith says 06/11/2009 9:13 am (5 years ago):
Here is some info from Ross-Tech about support

Looks like once you have activated software they will be happy to help. I thought there used to be some registration needed but that appears to be for activating the software which this cable does automatically without needing to contact Ross-Tech.

Ill give you the 180 you want if its still for sale

missmouse asked a question 07/12/2009 4:54 pm (5 years ago):
inc postage! ( UK)
Zith says 07/12/2009 10:06 pm (5 years ago):
Hi simon,

As I offered it for 140 collected already, we can do a deal for 160 including P&P to the UK. No need for the 180. Is that ok?

Zith says 10/12/2009 4:30 pm (5 years ago):
Are you still interested? Or anyone else for that matter?
Spfeno1 asked a question 21/01/2010 12:35 am (5 years ago):
Is this still available
Zith says 21/01/2010 9:38 am (5 years ago):
Sorry, should have updated with a comment. This was sold to johnd18260 over Christmas.
