Volvo S80 For Sale

Hi iCarl. I'm sorry but we can't compare s80 vs honda civic! It's like A8 vs golf! And the prices? Please... It's like new toyota for 13000 vs VW Phaeton V10 2004! the same price it's true but 100 years of technology different! I know there are cheaper volvos but I know what are the prices of parts if something goes wrong, I have this car for over 3 years now and I had s80 99 as well. If You will save 3000 it's very possible there is something wrong, You can't buy lights module or stc/abs module second hand for this car, You need to buy new in dealer and they have to install special driver which is capable with your chassis number, always it cost over 1200 for the part. I made this car for me so suspension, engine and rest is in more than perfect condition because I never though I will need to sell it. Show me even one volvo with brembo braking system in IE! only because people prefer A6 or 5 series just to look not to drive volvo owners need to reduce the prices but have a look on car tests! s80 won all tests vs 5 and A6 in this class and check these cars prices. the most expensive s80 now is 13500 and I think price around I ask is very good because I know what I sell. If You will have a chance to buy BMW 730 2004 for 7000 will You consider to take it? Me? Never! exhaust filter 3600 euro, new turbo 2600 and many others... that's saving for short step forward. That's all in my opinion of course... Regards

Hi Pafro. Thanks for your comment. I didn't say I have original fitted brembo braking system, I don't have callipers as well but I have what I described - brake pads and discs and these are brembo. I wrote the price is negotiable so I don't understand comment of roraneire. There are few much chepper examples on the market so feel free in picking one. I know what's condition on my one and how much I spent on it even in last 3 months. Pafro knows for sure what's the good care of volvo means :) It"s not a car for everybody, people who thinks for next 2 years not to spend any one euro for the car like this should drive something cheaper because this car need good hand and big wallet. Pafro glws on your one.

The reason I bought this car is because I don't like leather. Previous owner didn't like it as well.

Hi TheWaterMan. Car is in perfect condition. I didn't drive the car since last 3 months so I have no nct, motor tax. Before I had knee operation I replaced timing belt and water pump, purchased new tires. Need to replace ball joints because purchased best replacements and are gone after 1.5 months. With few more things that's over 4k I spent since december I won't let it go for 5k. Need renewal of NCT and motortax. All parts are original volvo parts and were replaced on time. Price is negotiable as I described.

Hi Tom. Thanks a lot. Irish drivers simply don't understand what's the good care of the car means. Previous s80 saved my live because was in great condition. But that cost me a lot. I saw many drivers in new bmw x5, x6 and in more expensive cars with total bold tires and no brake discs at all! The proper taking car of our cars is for our safety and others on the road.

Hi TheWaterMan. What I meant to say was, I will pay for motor tax and do the nct. I don't know why drivers here complain about the cars value?!?
In IE cars are twice or sometimes three times cheaper than in other countries and IE drivers earn 4 times more than other drivers in UE so what's the reason to complain? Car insurance is nearly twice cheaper here as well, who told Irish drivers all cars should cost nothing? why u think u can take top quality car the same price as few years old nissan micra?
I had a friend he said he will take volvo s80 T6 ( 2.9 twin turbo 272 bhp ) but he decide to go for the cheapest machine ( 03 I think ) and after 2 months all was gone in the car, only both turbos were worth fortune so now to drive it he need to spend few thousands. Who will save at the end of the day? You need to pay for the good condition car! if u have 4k just for punto and don't pretend u can afford good quality, luxury car - so simply is that. And please don't tell me u can take A6 or 5 series for the same price. there are 2 s80 of 2004 now on carzone over 50 of A6. Read the tests, s80 won with all of them and it's bigger, more safety and not so faulty. I want to go for VW Phaeton now, I won't gonna re-sell it for sure. No one knows this car here but is it the reason to put a pressure on the seller? If I don't like the color - I'm not taking it, if the price doesn't suit me - I'm not taking. Why u won't take merc CL500 from unknown source for half price? because u know it can cost u 3 times more at the end of the day. Just to give u another sample, each electricity modul cost over 1400 euro, u can't use second hand. It need to be send to volvo factory to install drivers capable with the one in your car, otherwise it won't work. What if u safe on the price and u will have to replace beam light modul and abs modul after a month? that's 3k plus service charge of fitting it in. Don't u think saving on the car from high shelf might destroy financial side of using it?

You are kind a right. At these days I might be this kind of person and trying to find a fool but, everything is so easy to check. The car like like I have has so many moduls and so many sensors that one visit in proper garage with the right service computer and even small issue will pop out.
I'm not saying someone has to take it, I'm saying it might be good idea to think about if someone wants to but this type of car in fair, good condition.
I don't have pressure to sale it, just it might be handier for me now to have the car with automatic transmission. I can't drive after knee operation. regards

People like you who want to buy a car for max 2k and still asking for motor tax, nct and full service history.
If you r looking solid car in great condition don't even look at this shelf.
And I you think it's a cheap car and you can afford to buy one like this for 2 or 3k that's good for you, take it. take all of them and start to cry if something goes wrong with it.
Link me another car like this in prestine technician condition with all volvo original parts mounted.

I said I don't have it because I've been abroad for making very complicated knee operation in Germany. There is no need to pay for it if I can't drive at the minute.
I can pay motor tax and insurance today and I'm able to make nct in next coming date but why should I do it now???
As I said and advise you to read with understanding and not guess that the price is negotiable. As I said there is no problem to go for the garage, pay 50 euro for computer check if someone wish to. But if you think I will let it go for nothing I'm advising to go and try to find idiot who will sell you great condition car for nothing. I't the cheapest place in europe to find a car and still buyer here wants to pay half of that. wish you luck in choosing your cars but as I see you better go for nissan micra, cheap insurance, cheap motor tax and cheap pleasure of driving with it but in the price you r looking for.
