Compaq CQ60 for sale. A Bit of water got into the fan so that doesnt work anymore but the system still turns on.

Will sell hdd seperate or still installed if good enough offer made (300gb 2.5" hdd)

Yep, the connection part of the charger is a bit loose but it works grand, just need to jam it into something soft to make it tight, but again, works grand

The charger works fine. I don't know if it can be fixed. Probably can, I am just trying to sell this as the broke recently and I am building a new rig which is why im keeping the hdd but if it gets me a sale ill leave it in.

I understand. Well let me give it a think. I wanted to fix the laptop... the water went in from the top through the keyboard? I just want to figure out if the motherboard is ok and its just the fan that is faulty.

Motherboard should be fine, how it happened as stupid as it sounds, is that i wanted to try and dust it out but have no compressed air so i blew into the fans and i assume some saliva shorted it. Silly, I know

Basically I'm fixing a laptop that the screen has broken on, so I need to get a plastic lid cover, the brackets that hold the screen in the case and the plastic bottom base of the laptop. If your willing to sell for parts I could do the work myself to dismantle it? Cheers,

Id rather sell the whole system itself than be left with just the metal case which would be harder to sell
