In relaiton to your questions, I presume you could use if for a notebook as an external drive however you would have to buy the casings etc. These are designed for a desktop pc.
There is no usb connection.

Sorry about the delay. Drives are just under a kilo. Based on An Post website that would be €6 based on packet weight.
