This is an ibanez RG 550BK, with a Dimarzio Breeze in the neck and Dimarzio X2N in the Bridge. I know at the time the X2N was the highest output humbucker ever made. The neck is the thinist i've ever seen. The guitar was about €1,100 about 10 years ago. I've since swapped the pickups a few times, and at one stage had the fernandes sustainer pickup in it. So it has a few extra holes, from switches and an extra routed pocket at the back. I've also removed everything but the volumn control.
The guitar has a fully locking tremelo, with a control bar at the back where the springs are. The control bar allows you to lock the tremelo on the fly either completely, dive only, or swell only. I put it in so i could do alternate tunings.
This is very much a heavy rock guitar, but the humbuckers are coil tapped. So you can get a single coil strat/tele sound quite easily, but again with a high output.
I'll put up the model number later, just don't have it in front of me.
In terms of swaps, a nice tube amp is what i'm after. But i'm fairly open to what ever.

Anyway when i get the time i'll put up the model number for anyone who cares. Ibanez have a gazillion models and i've made so many changes to it that it's not anything close to the original spec. But i know some people care about models and countries. Cheers for the nice comment man.

It was made in the legendary Fuji-gen Plant, Japan
2001, Production Number: 51472 acording to Serial Number: F0151472. I'll upload a pic as well.

RobJunah says 26/02/2012 8:02 pm (2 months ago):@Lukerfitz: you can tune it any way you like. ive had it at one stage with flatwound chromes in dadgad. but it does take a lot of patience to setup if you want to be able to use the trem floating. if you set the trem fixed or dive only it would be much quicker to set up. if you lock the trem you can also change your tuning as needed but you wouldnt have the use of the trem then because if you unlock it the trem will balance out and most likely the tuning will go out. on the other hand if you lock the trem and lock the nut you have the advantage of very stable tuning. price wise feel free to make a good offer if your genuinley interested.
