Peavey 6505+ Head and Peavey 6505 Cab.
Description (updated on 08/01/2013 at 11:34am):
(THE HEAD HAD BEEN SOLD)
Peavey 6505 cabinet is still for sale.
The cabinet is in PERFECT condition and has very rarely been used.
It has not been scratched or damaged in any way, and the wheels are perfect.
It seriously is as close to mint condition as possible.
Suitable live gigs or for just practicing at home.
I bought the cab new two years ago thinking I would use it for gigs. Unfortunately the band broke up almost right away, and it has been sitting in my room at home since I left for college.
If anyone has any questions about the equipment or would like to test it for example, please feel free to ask.
I might be willing to deliver the cab as long as my cost for travelling is covered.
Hoping to sell for around the €400 mark.

just few questions. Does transformer work? Is the switch on the back to switch between 120v and 240?
How are the pre amp valves and did u revalve for a reason ( i mean did a valve blow )
Sorry for all the questions:-)
I amn't inculding a transformer in the price but its running fine through an old transformer that was lying around the house. (for an american waffle maker i think)
There is no switch at the back for converting voltages im afraid, the transformer has to do that. Just plugging the amp into the wall by using a simple adapter wouldn't be possible.
The pre-amp valves are still the stock ones that came with it. The amp still sounds great so they must be OK.
I replaced the stock ruby tubes with new ones simply because I heard they wear out after about a year. To be honest I doubt it really needed to be done because the amp was used so little. I never heard any lessenig of sound quality anyway.
Hope that answers your questions. If you have any more, or if you want me to send you some extra pictures just let me know.
I've searched around online and they're easy to find and are pretty cheap.
If it's an absolute dealbreaker for anyone i could include the transformer i've been using (it is old and pretty damaged however).
If you're anywhere near Tralee feel free to drop by and test it out.
I'm looking for a cash sale anyway.
Thanks for the interest.
If noone has made any other offers by the time you'd be able to collect then i'll give you a definite answer .
for the head , also could you meet somewhere ? Just im up in Armagh and Kerry's a long way away :L
I was hoping for a bit more considering the head sells new for about €1,500.
I dont have a car anymore, so meeting halfway with people would be difficult (not impossible though).
On the 6th i will be in Cork and could bring it wih me in case anyone is interested.
Well the situation is that Takemyscars72 is still first in line as he has made the highest offer first, and is willing to collect it.
I'm going to hold out a bit longer and see if someone will take it for a higher price. €800 is still a bit lower than i was planning on selling for.
Sure if the equipment still hasn't been bought by the time you're out just post that you're interested.
Anyway, hope you're outta there soon.
PRICE DROP TO €1,400 (FOR BOTH)
@Shreddy Krueger, if you still want the head you can have first call at it for €800.
Anyone else who's interested in the equipment just post and we can work out a price.
Not interested in a trade anyway.
Thanks all the same.
Just wanted to say that both the Head & Cab are still for sale.
If i sell it I am actually planning on putting the money towards a car, but I have a specific one lined up.
Thanks again.
Still open to any offers.
Sure let me know if you change your mind and you fancy buying the stack.
Cheers.
i ve a nissan 300zx up on donedeal. Hav a look its red one. If u any good wit cars u ll make more than amp breaking and selling it or u can drive it
I appreciate the interest but am looking for cash only.
Thanks again.
Sadly I don't have enough to afford it in the near future... But to anyone looking at this ad! Don't pass up this amp at this price! It's fantastic!
I know you don't want trades but... I guess I'll give it a shot because I love these amps so much! :L
Any interest in any of my ads or any of the following?
Behringer Pb1000 pedalboard (Holds and powers up to 12 pedals).
Boss Metalcore pedal (Distortion Pedal).
Alesis Multimix 8fx (Mixer).
Korg Toneworks Ax1000g (Guitar Effects Pedal).
Peavey TNT 150 (Bass Amp).
Schecter Omen 6 (Guitar in black).
Behringer Bass V-Amp (Bass effects and amp models).
H&H Pro 100 Speakers (P.a speakers 100 watt a side).
JBL M Series 355 MKii Bass Bins.
Glad to hear you approve of the amp!
Sorry to hear you can't afford it at the moment.
It is a great piece of equipment but I just don't have room for it anymore.
Still holding out for a cash deal but good luck with your ads all the same.
Hope you get your hands on your dream amp sometime soon!
That guitar is very nice but im happy with the ones I have at the moment.
Still looking for a cash deal only.
Because i'd really prefer to sell the head and cab at the same time, ill lower the price to 1,200 for BOTH.
I'm still open to offers for the head and cab individually though.
Once again, thank you for the interest but i'm looking to make a CASH ONLY deal.
Good look with your ads.
I honestly couldnt let the head go for that price.
It's a great piece of equipment and is definitely worth a bit more.
Lowest i'll go for the head is €800.
Lowest for the cab is €500.
Buy them together and i'll sell for €1,200
I'm willing to work with u on price but a decent 220/240 transformorer is 200 euros and then to amp completely the mercury output transformer upgrade will hav to b done so that's another 200 euro. But it's up to u on it

Like i said, if it's an absolute dealbreaker I can include the transformer i've been using.
Once you have the amp plugged into the transformer you're good to go.
I don't understand what you mean by "the mercury output transformer upgrade will have to be done".
Its in perfect working condition at the moment and is ready to be tested if anyone wants to see it in action.
Just let me know when you have the money.
The head's yours for €800, but If someone makes me an offer for the head an cab together before you're ready to buy then they get priority.
Looking forward to hearing from you Chris.
It's an absolute steal for that price but I need the money.
I'm looking to sell the cab by itself for a higher price so for €300 i definitely wouldnt be willing to make the trip.
Thanks for the offer all the same.
I'd consider letting the head gor for around €750.
Both together for €1000.
380€ cash in hand offer - still valid (+30€ if you can drop it to Dublin). Can collect it from Heuston or Connolly Train Station.
With the hassle of getting to Dublin and back i'm going to have to say thanks for the offer but no.
If you could collect it from either cork or kerry then its yours for €400
Thanks again,
Stephen.
If the Head is still up here after Nov21st-ish I'll definitely buy it from you! If you find a buyer before then thats grand!
If you want to view it/try it out at any stage just let me know.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
You can test it out in either Bandon or Tralee.
Let me know what you think.
Any chance you'd be willing to meet somewhere closer? I'd be driving from the South of Cork.
If you're willing to pay for petrol, along with €700 I can accept and we can move forward.
I'll PM you my mobile number and email so we can organise meeting up.
I could probably send you on a video of it in action since you'd be buying before trying it out?
Anyway, i'll talk to ya soon.
I'm still open to offers for the cab however.
I would be willing to let it go for €400 if it's collected.
The head was sold yesterday to c-ryan so it is GONE.
Still looking to sell the cab though.
Having said that, i'm in Cork and I really don't want to carry the cab across the entire country.
Anyway, if someone is willing to collect it from Cork that would be fantastic.
I have to sell it in the near future as I will be moving, so it's time to sell it on adverts or give it to a friend for cheap.
