mlpower123 asked a question 20/10/2010 6:10 pm (1 year ago):Sorry to say this but it looks like a fake to me. How can the truss cover say Les Paul when the guitar is an SG ? Also it says Les Paul between the pickups and the neck so its not like somebody changed the truss cover in error.
mlpower123 asked a question 20/10/2010 6:14 pm (1 year ago):Exactly the same as over here http://adverts.ie/304327. This also has Les Paul on the truss and over the pickups. Looks like a Tradetang special to me, except this one is branded Epiphone and not Gibson like the other one.
If you've bought this in good faith then I'm afraid you were probably ripped off. Not trying to spoil your thread but facts are facts.

Aka its not a fake , as far as i can see headstock and the like look okay

It seems as if you know it all then you will know that the sg was originally gibsons atempt to slim down the les Paul and make it lighter but les Paul didn't like the design and would not let his name be used on it but for some reason in around the mid to late 80s he allowed it on this model look it up and get your facts straight before you try scare people off my add by the way why would someone make a fake epiphone if your going to go to that trouble why not fake a gibson

and by the way people in china do make fake epiphones , check out www.mylespaul.com for more info on that
