buckfastic asked a question 12/09/2010 10:01 pm (1 year ago):Hiya NameChange1, i know it might sound crazy, but how much do you think this would cost to get delivered to Galway City? Are the legs removable,or could i shorten them to fit it a little bit of the way back into a 16" fireplace, using the rear flue? just to save some space,
thanks a lot
Shane
buckfastic asked a question 12/09/2010 10:27 pm (1 year ago):sorry, i meant to use the top flue to go directly up the chimney
thanks
namechange1 says 13/09/2010 12:01 am (1 year ago):Hi buckfastic, my company works all over the country so getting delivered to galway could be arranged.
On the other hand what your trying to do is kind of a mish mash and might not work,
1.the legs do come off the stove but i wouldn't reccommend it,
2. if your trying to install this into an existing fireplace, you should bear in mind firstly its very difficult, its not just a matter of removing a fireback and sticking this in and secondly im guessing your hearth is around 18-20'' from the wall, building regs require at least 12 inchs of non combustable material in front of any closed room heater it affects your insurance if its not
3. lastly there must be 4'' all round of clearence for any stove to function properly
if after all that :) your still intrested delivery might take a week or so but it can be arranged.
Sorry for being so long winded!!!
buckfastic asked a question 13/09/2010 9:41 am (1 year ago):Not atall man, i really appreciate the info, its exactly what i am looking for, if you can confirm it has a back boiler and give me a rough quote for delivery, we have a deal (you were willing to let it go for 300? as above) -is Cash On Delivery OK with ya?
i will PM you my contact details
thanks a million
Shane

I thought we had a deal arranged with this......
Hi shane
Just letting you know im not forgetting you, courier company says it would cost €183 to send the stove to you, so we'll hold fire on that one .
Give it a week or two and we will have someone heading your way
Cheers
Tom
I would have appreciated if you had even given me a chance to raise my bid, but i was sitting here waiting for the stove, next thing i look and you sold it to someone else! Ah well, I would have matched the price, i mean surely first come first served wouldnt you think?
I thought a deal was meant to be a deal.
I must have thought wrong
