I went with the Vizio VSB200 (http://www.vizio.com/vsb200.html) - I'd need about 4 hours to explain the trials and tribulations I went through to actually *get* one, but I did it in the end and it was certainly worth it. It was exactly what I needed.
The Z5500 setup was fantastic, but we recently moved house and I put up a projector screen; the combination of the layout of the room and my son playing in there made running speaker-wire for a 5.1 setup unsuitable, unfortunately.
Interested in it at all?

WetDaddy says 13/02/2012 1:13 pm (3 months ago):@LostInDharma: The speakers themselves have mini-stands which you can see in this image (http://img.tomshardware.com/us/2004/11/30/logitech_z/logitech_z5500_6.jpg). These are reversible for mounting on a wall, if I recall correctly.
But no, they don't come with the large traditional stands. The Z5500 isn't shipped with stands like that in the first place, which is why I don't have any.
As regards the speaker-wire, I know what you mean :) My problem is that I've just redone the room (hardwood floor and new skirting boards) and foolishly I didn't pre-run any cabling. If you have carpet, it's *very* easy to run the wire under the sides of it.
