I might be interested...But..not enough spec detail;
1. HDD 5400 or 7200
2. 6 cell or 9 cell battery
3. Is DVD drive internal or external
4. XP pro or home
5. Memory is 2x512MB or 1x1GB
6. Software included...?
7. Intel 2200 or 2915 WiFi
8. Warranty transferrable..? How much...?
9. Reason for sale..?

On all of the Dell D400/410's the optical drive is external as they are just too large to fit in such a small/slim machine.

Stephen is bang on their, these units or designed to be compact and mobile. As a result the drive is external which is ideal as in a typical situation it gets used rarely enough.

1. Drive is a Hitatchi 60GB 5400rpm
2. No idea!
3. External
4. XP Pro
5. I think it's 2 x 512MB
6. Office 2003 Pro plus lots more
7. Intel 2200 I believe
8. Yes that should be no problem
9. Moving jobs, will be getting a new one in the new job most definitely a lesser machine though!

It's a sweet machine, what can I say.

Just for the record, I've also advertised this offline and I've just got a candidate coming in at 1200 as we speak but I need confirmation from him....

The Intel® 915G Express chipset, designed for the Intel® Pentium® 4 processor supporting Hyper-Threading Technology† in the LGA775 package, delivers a decade's worth of innovation:

PCI Express* buses can deliver over 3.5 times more bandwidth for I/O and graphics cards than PCI and AGP 8X respectively2.

Graphics flexibility, with support for the built-in Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 900 and for PCI Express graphics cards

Flexible memory support for dual channel DDR2 533 memory and dua-channel DDR memory

Is this still available? €850 is my max tho'

Sorry majiktripp, it is still on the market but €1200 was my rock bottom. It is a brand new machine in it's new Dell bag and worth over €2,000 if you were to price it up on dell.ie....so rather than let it go for a crazy price....I may just let my wife use it!.....God forbid!! This is the ultimate machine for somebody on the move....there's no weight in it....and it is so compact.....and yet seriously powerful.
