Canon 70-200mm USM f2.8 Lens (non-IS)

@petereoin: I have three of the same lens because I work full-time as a photographer/Photojournalist and always try to have back-up gear incase some gets stolen, broken or lost. I have had 20K worth of gear robbed from me in the past and was unable to work for a while - I had plans on starting an agency but work has died down a fair bit - I used to have to give work to others because I was too busy
I have 3x16-35mm lenses two of them are mkII version, also have 17-35mm, and a number of wideangle primes - at last check I counted around 35 lenses (most of them L-series)

I have owned the 2001 and 2005 lens from new the 1995 lens I dont know where it came from - someone switched lenses on me during an international game a few years ago - I had a 70-200mm f2.8 IS - I didn't even notice it was switched at the time (70-200 is not heavily used during an international game) and cant really do anything about it unless you catch the person.

Price is negotiable on them - the price was just put up as a ballpark figure.

pics coming today - was not in the office much yesterday so couldnt get near my gear until I was going home.

no offence intended but I don't need/want any swaps .... I'm a mac user and PC user and next to be updated is one of my mac laptops. (At last check I have 3 PC laptops and 2 Mac laptops - oldest one being 4yrs old.)

I'm looking to sell these and purchase the latest version of the same lens

you might find a 70-200mm f4 lens secondhand for that price, but the 2.8 versions keep some bit of value.

@danennis: UT is the 2005 one - so the pics after the one with the date code visible are those (I think its the second set)

@johnflyons:sorry john .... no interest in either, I have no place to use/store the backdrops (I have had to move some of the extra camera equipment that I own into work because the girlfriend says I was cluttering up the place)

Probably wont be in the Aviva but will be around outside doing some fans (I guess)

@assassinsrush: I work full time as a press photographer images from these lenses have appeared in national newspapers on a daily basis and any marks that are on the lenses have never appeared on any image.

if you do your research you will learn that any scratches on a lens will appear when images are taken at apertures like f18/22/32 .... with these lenses you rarely take images at this aperture (I dont think I ever have with these lenses - think I was at f13 a few days ago...very bright sunlight)

So did you come onto the advert to spoil it or can you prove your claim that the lens can be purchased new for €900 (or slightly over it).

@adin231090 thanks for the offer I'd like it if you can go higher ....do you think you can afford a bit more ?

@adin231090:afraid I'm not willing to sell at that price - I will probably throw them up on Ebay in the coming weeks - average price on there is approx £850ish ... which works out at €900+postage, who knows you might get lucky if/when they are on Ebay.

I was hoping to sell to an Irish person and avoid Ebay charged ....but doesn't look like thats going to be possible, I already purchased the new version of the lens so I'm in no rush to sell them (I was selling to fund the purchase of the newer version)
