Do they come with boxes, instructions, and pouch thingy ?

Were these bought online or in Ireland ?

when you say you have hoods for them all (except 14mm) - does that mean you will sell the hood if the buyer wants to buy the hood ...or will it be included in sale ?

how long have you had them and what kind of use have they gotten (ie. complete amateur or professional use...or somewhere in between)

Can you also tell the reason for sale ?

I would be interested in the whole lot but especially interested in the 14mm (you pricing seems a little off - compared to other online prices)

PCPhoto...these lenses belong to a friend who is now based in Oz...got sponsorship..not coming back for foreseeable future hence the delays in responding to your questions.
The history of the lenses is they were bought around xmas 08 by my friend after he completed a couple of courses in Navan...he got them at a good price and is willing to let them go at good prices. He said the guy he bought them off was amatuer/semi-professional (wildlife pictures and portraits) and they are in great condition..my friend's use would have been amatuer/hobby use.
I am happy to meet for inspection if someone is serious about taking any or all of them...

I could find date codes for all but the 75-300mm
85mm ut0709
14mm uw0101
24-70mm ut 1009

I have no idea how to check how many pictures it has taken and the owner has said he will look it up and come back to me tomorrow but if any of you know how I will give it a try if it's nice and easy!

no offence to you.... but you wont get offers very much higher than those already given, the prices we have offered are similar (or maybe slightly lower in my own case) ...than prices that the same lenses are selling on other sites, There is limited demand for a 14mm lens - my only reason is to use it with my 5D underwater, but if I dont purchase I have a 16-35mm which I can use.

Offer increase €1050 (Final offer) .... if you had the box/instructions the offer would be slightly higher.

Yukio, thanks for the offer but I can't let it go for that. However, I could meet you half way on the difference if you are genuinely interested. There's not a huge difference in quality between mk1 and 2..you will be extremely happy with this lens. It's really in perfect condition and is a great buy at that price

The lens is not worth €1500 secondhand - its only worth what someone is willing to pay, if there is someone out there willing to pay more than the €1050 that I've offered then you get a better deal until then - €1050 is the best offer you have on this advert for the lens.....for the moment my offer stands - but I'll just use my 16-35mm if we cant agree a price.

Ok, I've spoken to the owner and told him you are both very interested in each lens. Yukio, he has said he would let the 85mm go at 1300e but he can't afford to go any lower than that and would be prepared to wait it out for another while in order to get that price...
PcPhoto, unfortunately, I can't accept your offer as he feels its still too low but because he knows you're genuinely interested he would be prepared to sell it at 1400e as its a mk2. He knows its a specialised lens and knows it may take a while to sell...
Both prices include hoods and pouches...
That's the latest, sorry if its not what you wanted to hear but I am under instruction!

The lowest price for the 85mm is 1250e...although its a mk1, can't go lower than that...its more than a 1k less than a new mk2 and these lenses hold their value and quality...

Both lenses are open to inspection....

PC Photo and others interested in the 14mm...my sincere apologies...the price was supposed to be lowered to 1500e and not 1400e as i entered up on the advert. I am truly sorry. My mistake.

On another note, I am going to check the rules to see if I can take the sale of the 14mm to a new advert as this thread is quite long now and might be confusing to some...any objections please do let me know. If I go ahead and set up a new thread I will copy the new link onto this thread for direction...

aaf, sorry but just can't afford to take that sort of a hit...this is retailing in Conns Camera's for 2,499 and I've already gone below what my friend was hoping to get...its in great condition..not a mark on it and the asking price here is 1,100 cheaper than in Conns...1,400 is the bottom price I'm afraid.
