I've exif'd many of the pics I've ever taken with it and found that the average aperture used is f8 - I've no need for f1.8, let alone f1.4! I shoot mostly under studio heads and dont go much for "available light" - lens is wonderfully sharp!

Maybe one of us should start a thread on averts support seeking clarification or advice? I can howerver, assure you that this lens is as described in the ad, excellent condition with no marks from use which would anyway amount to probably less than 150 pics taken!
