Star Wars Hasbro R2-D2 Interactive Astromech Droid Unopened

For sale is an original 2002 Hasbro interactive voice-controlled R2-D2 Droid. It is still in the sealed brown corrugated cardboard Hasbro shipping box. (See red arrow in photo). This outer box has never been opened. This means that the display box and contents have never been touched by human hand or exposed to degrading sunlight or UV. It has never had batteries installed as batteries were not included in the 2002 version. This is the ultimate collectible for the Star Wars fan. Additionally, as the original 2002 version required partial assembly and wouldn't fit back in the display box afterward, unopened examples of this version are extremely rare. The later (and lesser) 2006 version came fully assembled, contained batteries and could be played with instore through poke-holes. Neither version is currently being manufactured. To avoid confusion, the photo also shows a second opened and displayed example of what the unopened box contains. This is the coolest present ever for a true Star Wars devotee!

The opened box droid has been sold for €250 and only the ultimate, unopened collectible remains.

The box weighs nearly 4Kgs so any form of secure shipping will be expensive. Collection is recommended.
