According to Apple there's no such thing as a Black MacBook Pro. Only the regular Black Macbook which tended to have better specs. Unless you're talking about an Aluminum Unibody cased MacBook Pro with a Black Bezel, but I don't think that's the case since it was purchased in 2007. Unibody Macs were only released in late 2008.

The picture you have is also of just a regular Black MacBook, can you please post some pictures of the actual machine itself to clarify?
