For example I use it for my 5.1 soundblaster as well as 2x stereo (thru 3,5 jack splitter) + sub for my TV. Check on the internet, see youtube for videos. There must be someone who already tried this setup and shared the information somewhere.

GhanGee says 04/10/2009 11:53 am (2 years ago):Linosaur>> sorry man I forgot to answer, don't worry about the cables, they're long enough (about 3-4m) and I give you original Creative extension lead with gold plated RCA connectors, now I am not 100% sure but the ext.lead is either 3 or 5m long. This cable alone costs at least 10e in a shop. I have 2 of them for the rear speakers. The lot is well worth 45Eur. Sound is great, if looking for excellent audio set be ready to pay much more.

My laptop doesnt have the inputs for 5.1. I was reading trough some articles on internet and it seems the only way for me to get 5.1 sound istrough spdif (line in)

I am not audio expert but I believe SPDIF/optical cable serves as an interconnection between 2 logic devices (sound card, amplifier, cd/dvd player or recorder, etc). If there's a 5.1 set like this it will either produce low sound quality, or if it's a high-end product with integrated hi-quality logic to process the sound it won't cost 45 Eur, for sure. YOUR BEST option is to get a "5.1 USB sound card" like mine, SoundBlaster 24bit USB .
