washburnNB asked a question 08/10/2010 10:01 am (1 year ago):killarney, co.kerry. that xxx is great amp, nice clean, and ultra chanell is killer, great build like all old peavey's, i preffer tone with yamaha fx 770 in loop, it clears the tone radically, and effect loop is very well made, with volume in send and return, so you can play it with low volumes and you can turn up master way up, if u use effect with volume options in loop, you go way up in preamp then low volume on send and effect and return and then way up on master, and you don't need thd hot plate or that kinda sucking devices:), its very versatile amp, but i always wanted 5150 and when i tried 6505+ i felt in love with that gain, i know it doesn't have clean but that doesn't bother me:) thanx
