@David Daniel:

Hi David.

If both (rear windscreen and side mirrors) does not work, according to your description it's square shape relay, it's based in one of fuseboxes. It's quite common problem with Corsa C but also nothing major. No need to worry. PM me for solution.

Hello my mechanic friend. U done a nice job to me. I was waiting your message after u will do the research about my sound in the back speaker. Or I was paying 50 euro for something was done . Any professional who know what is doing was charging me the same and at least the job was done properly and the wires were not taped together. U done nothing to fix my problem. U didn't know how to fit the steering wheel commands to the stereo. O god . I'm just afraid to give u an extra job. For an expert in sound system u were working with diagram for coded colours? U suppose to know this. How to trust your job when u didn't do anything and charging 50 euro and make me buy the noise filter and that was not even the problem. One thing I can say. I WAS ROBED BY U MY FRIEND

emigrant80 says 27/05/2011 11:47 pm (1 year ago):

Hi.
I didn't expect such a respond from you. But from the beginning.

Why did you spent 50E is:
- I'v picked and fitted sound reduction filter in to your stereo,
- I'v connected set of gauges
-I'v fixed your ballance\fadder issue,
- I'v been fighting with your stereo connection for the rest of 5h spent at your drive way in windy and rainy day.
You have connected 3 separate extensions (+12V, ground, lf,rf,rr,lr , illumination, memory, aut aerial, remote) in one feed line, cut the wires, connected them back without keeping any of color coding - thats why I used diagram for- , you have cut the connection nests, and at the end pluged in a set of original SAAB audio wiring.

You'v connected your set of twitters in line, as a last point (in line) in signal way right after power amplified bass speakers. Thats why you have those whistly noises when your engine runs. I was trying to explain that to you but your argument was that "everything is OK over here".

Your wiring needs to be rip off, forgotten an done again only this time - properly.
If any questions-please ask.
Thanks all for reading.

corneliucork asked a question 28/05/2011 12:25 am (1 year ago):

The twitters were connected after the bass. And the sound was always there. The power supply for my gauges was there connected . The only thing u done right was the car speakers right. And was no rain and wind inside the car . And proper job means no tape and cable tights. Proper means connectors. If I was spending 5 h of my time I was doing that job myself like I done the rest of the job. I'm good in tape and cutter myself to. I call u for a job u didn't finish. I ask u to fit the steering wheel commands to the stereo, job not done. I ask u to remove the whistle noise from the sub, job not done. Fit right balance and fadder , job done . Bravo. Only take 5h. 10euro per h like any other authorised garage who don't use tape and cable tights. They use connectors.
Thanks. Don't worry be happy. I was realy hopping I got a good mechanic .

emigrant80 says 28/05/2011 12:25 pm (11 months ago):

Once again.

Duct tape is not an insulation tape.Does not matter how much of it you use, how many leads you cut and reconnect. It's still a duct tape

I wanted to solder your wiring - you didn't have extension lead

I'v also connected sterring wheel commands for you stereo , because of condition of your wiring I even found, dig out and use your original stering wheel harness - you didn't know how to program your stereo properly. Manual didn't leave any clues how to do it and those connections are not dedicated- need to be paired and programmed. . I can only assume that your stereo is in working order, it does not even have a BRAND name printed on it.

I repeat - I'v connected set of custom gauges.

Also, when I finished your system recovered hi, mid and bass frequencies back.

Twitters lined with bass power amplified speakers- that's what I wrote before.

I was clear with you - said that I'm ready to rip it all off and wire your system once again.
Also said that using sound reduction filter is not a solution, especially with such number of power leeds under the dash board, power amplified Saab sound system connected with custom made power amplified, fitted with large capacitor , 4 bass speakers . It's like healing leprosy with help of sticking plaster. Even damaged alternator can be a reason.

Plus thick power supply cables placed directly behind and around power amp and capacitor.
Earth in capacitor was loose (moving in and out) , speaker nests in power amp had threads turned oround, cable was not bolt with nut, hanging loose.

Noise in your system was high freq.

And instead of contacting me for further details (when I finish work you were the one who said that we'll be in phone contact) you are writing this kind of comments.

I have 7 years of experience as a sound tehnician, stage hand, sound engineer. I'v worked with more challenging sound systems comparing to yours ( open venues for 40.000+ listeners, live TV shows.). To fix something first you have to understand how it suppose to be connected, how it suppose to work, then determin what was done wrong. Rest is a sum of previous points.

I know my job but I am not a magician that'll sort days of your creative work in 10seconds.

Kind regards.

To complete our adventure.

I'v got a feeling that problem with comunication had place.

You hired me to fix issue with balance\fader and to fit noise reduction filter (I did not make you buy it, I even wrote to toy to stop you from buing one, I have all PM's saved)

As a proof:
" For start I need a filter to my stereo, I hear engine in the speakers. And the balance and front back are not right. Brake fluid drained. Same with the power steering and clutch a pipe from the power steering pump. And maybe the oil rad. But all what can be done before 3 .that is the time when I go to work"

My respond was:
";) Didn't recieved any message yesterday - web sometimes perform this kind of "jokes" ;) Filter and stereo problems shouldn't take much time. we can talk about rest while I'm there. You'll also have a chance to see my work and to decide are you happy about it or not.. Have you bought noise filter allready? What time to start suits you? I can be with you at 8,9am ? It's up to you."
"ps - I don't have any noise red. filter ... .But wait with Halfords till I'llbe there. Sometimes problem is hidden in some other places. Talk to you tomorrow. Thanks."

Looks like I'v done some extra work by connecting your gauges in a correct way, re-wire back of your stereo in correct, color coded manners ( not only speakers but also power supply, mem, illumination, etc), and last but not least I'v done all to connect your sterring wheel to work with your system. Pairing stering wheel with brandless main unit and dedicating proper button to do it's work without hints usualy wrote down in manual wast to much for me - I admit. All above wasn.t mentioned when we were in touch a day before I started.

You didn't mention nothing about all above in our PM comunication. All things that you'v mentioned/requested to get sort with - was done.

I consider our conversation as closed.
Many thanks.

Hi.

Motor is running- it's a good news (propably no extra expences). Window slide mechanism couses the problem.

I can take care of it saturday. It'll cost you 20E regardless of labour time (if in Cork City area). If not fixed-no charge.
Fair enough? ;)

PM me with car details (model) and location..

Hi Log-on.

Do they work at all ( stopping on way back) ?

emigrant80
emigrant80 says 16/08/2011 2:45 pm (9 months ago):

@Log-on:

Hi .

I was asking because there may be many reasons for wipers to stop working. Starting from "cold welds" in electric connections, through dirt, water (work enviroment), old grease (they are equipped in preasure valve/security relay that turns of wipers when there is to much pressure on wiper engine), damaged relay, damaged wing by sterring wheel, finishing at damaged wiper engine.
It's quite common in older BMW's.

If you are interrested I can take care of theme tomorrow (wednesday). If I won't be able to fix it on site I'll charge you 10E(petrol cost, I'm based in Kinsale area). When fixed - 30E.

Is that fair enough with you?

Give me a shout about what you decided...

Regardless- thank you for your interrest ;-)

@spurs79:
Hi.
Eng man light is one of most important on dash. Diagnostic will locate the issue (error code). That'll give you a chance to eliminate the reason - and you'll need to plug in to the computer to reset it.
Best of luck!

PM sent.
