Description:

Top quality Technisat 'Multymedia TS1' Digital Satellite & Terrestrial Receiver for sale (German Engineering). Can provide the convenience of a single set-top box to receive standard definition satellite and terrestrial television stations.

Item has been used but is in perfect working condition and doesn't have a scratch on it. Compact size (285 mm x 133 mm x 40mm).

The satellite function can receive free-to-air services (BBC, ITV, CH4 etc.) or pay-services (with appropriate subscription card).

Could this be used to replace a Sky set top box that is now used to receive freeview channels? As in would it simply plug into the existing sky installed aerial on the roof?

Thanks, and the additional card you mention for Saorview; what kind of price would that be? Looking at this for my parents as I've lost count of the amount of times I've had to explain that a lot of their channels are stored in the "other channels" part of the sky box!

@Rowley Birkin QC: The cards to enable you to receive Saorview are being sold, new, on ebay for ~€30. I'm sure you'd be able to get second hand one as well, for a better price again.....

@jeff23: Yip, that's it for satellite channels. I've most if not all the common free channels already tuned in for the Astra 2 satellite.......
