How long since you got the error also do you know what dash it is you can get this by going to system settings then console settings then go to system info it will display in top right then for example it will be 12625 or 9199.

@alan12345: Ill try and get that info for you tonight and let you know. the error came after I plugged the new kinect in at christmas. It worked perfectly until then online and offline.
