Astro A40 Mixamp Pro Wired Gaming Headset needs replacement cable/repair READ

The 3.5mm cable that connects the headset to the mixamp failed, resulting in no sound/sound from left side only. Replacement cable failed in the very same way and so did the 2nd replacement (both unofficial). With the latest cable you will get no sound most of the time.

Testing:
I just tested it on PC and got sound on the left side only. I tried it on PS3 and got full sound from both sides for 10 mins until I reconnected the cable and got nothing except static. This was with the latest cable with the inline volume control wheel. The first 2 cables seem to be completely dead, but I am including them just in case you want them. I tested the mic briefly on PC and could not get it to work.

These cables are known to fail, so a replacement cable (currently €10 online) may be all that's needed. However I don't know for sure so I am listing this as not functioning: needs repair.


Condition:
Headset is dirty and will need replacement cushions for ears and head. Mixamp and original inline cable have some grime. Please see photos. Original box not included as it adds a lot to the postage cost (message me if you want an updated shipping quote that includes the box).
