Scarce, Original, 1939 Stanley Woods Card, Irish Motorcycle Racing Legend

Stanley Woods, Born 1903, Dublin, an Irish motorcycle racer famous for 29 motorcycle Grand Prix wins and winning the Isle of Man TT races 10 times in his career.
He began his racing career in 1921 and had his first TT race in 1922 on his Cotton on which he got their and his first TT win in 1926, he moved to Norton that same year. In 1934 he moved to Husqvarna staying only 1 year before moving to Motto-Guzzi in 1935. From 1936 until his retirement from racing in 1939, Woods rode mainly for the Velocette factory.
Commandant Stanley Woods was credited with the task of training the first Irish Army 4 Cavalry Squadron's Motor Squadron personnel during The Emergency as the presidential Escort of Honor.
His ability built him into a legend, but his modesty prevented him recognising it.
Stanley Woods passed away 28th July 1993, R.I.P..
Due to the delicate nature of the Cards and the numbers issued, these have become very scarce and hard to come by. This is in excellent
condition for its age.
