It’s not that hard to guess what’s inside a big black box with a greek Omega letter on the front.
Players who have already heard the name Kratos should know that we are dealing with a rare God of War package, the Chains of Olympus press kit
Presented in an all black rigid cardboard display box with the familar Omega symbol on the top, the God of War Chains of Olympus Press Kit flips open to reveal a 3-D pop-up artwork of the war-hungry Kratos preparing to face off against a mob of attackers.
Included inside this fairly chunky box is a NECA Toys branded Kratos figure. Measuring at 20cm tall, this highly-detailed figure is part of their Player Select range and comes with a pair of Flaming Blades of Athena accessories.
Underneath the figure is a copy of God of War Chains of Olympus in UMD format for the PSP game and a slot above it housing the Press Disc. Designed for the media in mind,
the press disc comes with God of War: Chains of Olympus information and media assets.
Not only is it feature rich, it’s a pretty cool extra with God of War artwork printed on the top disc surface that is only on the press kit disc.

Released back in 2008 prior to the launch of God of War: Chains of Olympus, the Press Kit has become increasingly scarce and difficult to find as the years pass by. The most common issue is the missing press disc, which is easily noticeable since there is a specially designed slot for it. The other common problem is the folding joint does tend to break easily with constant opening and closing, something that is hard to avoid when it looks so darn good.
So i have put a bit of tape on the back as you can see in the photo above as i had this problem
