This is a Vicente Carrillo–built Paco de Lucía model flamenco guitar from 2007, constructed in Carrillo’s Spanish workshop in Casasimarro, Cuenca, Spain. It is a traditional flamenco blanca, built to Paco de Lucía’s specifications, with a spruce soundboard and cypress back and sides, delivering the fast attack, dryness, and projection associated with modern concert flamenco guitars.

The guitar features the lithographed signature of Paco de Lucía on the soundboard and the original hand signature of his brother, Ramón de Algeciras. I purchased the guitar from a friend around 2011. Neither he nor I ever toured or gigged with the instrument, and it has been kept primarily as a collector’s piece, stored carefully in its case. As a result, it remains in excellent, near-mint condition.

The neck profile is slim and comfortable, typical of Carrillo flamenco builds from this period, with a low flamenco actionthat makes the guitar fast and highly responsive. The instrument is lightweight and lively, with strong note separation and clarity across the registers.

A professional internal passive piezo pickup with an endpin output jack was installed at the time of purchase. The exact pickup brand is unknown. The guitar originally left the Vicente Carrillo workshop without amplification, consistent with standard practice for flamenco guitars of this type.

I also have a direct email from master luthier Vicente Carrillo confirming that the guitar was built in his workshop and certifying its authenticity, including confirmation of the signatures. High-resolution photographs and documentation are available upon request.

This is a well-preserved, fully documented example of a Vicente Carrillo Paco de Lucía model, suited to both serious collectors and discerning flamenco players.
