Fender DG5BLK Paddy Casey Signed – FM104 Great Guitar Giveaway 2005
€695 ono
Rare piece of Irish music memorabilia – Fender DG5BLK black acoustic guitar from FM104's “The Great Guitar Giveaway”, July 2005.
The guitar was presented to Deirdre Kelly and has the original FM104 presentation plaque stating:
“Presented to DEIRDRE KELLY
by FM104
THE GREAT GUITAR GIVEAWAY
Signed by PADDY CASEY
July 2005”
The guitar also bears Paddy Casey's signature along with other original writing/signatures.
Original provenance included
Also included is the original July 2005 email correspondence from FM104 Programme Director Dave Kelly, concerning the guitar being sent to Paddy Casey for signing and requesting that it be made out to Deirdre Kelly.
This is contemporary 2005 documentation rather than later provenance, and it corresponds with the FM104 plaque on the guitar.
Included
• Fender DG5BLK acoustic guitar
• Original FM104 presentation plaque
• Paddy Casey signature
• Fender strap – still in plastic
• Capo
• Ritter Junior gig bag
• Original 2005 provenance/documentation
The guitar has some cosmetic scratches and signs of use consistent with its age and history. I have deliberately not cleaned, polished or altered the signatures or original plaque.
This is being sold primarily as a collectable piece of Irish music memorabilia, rather than simply as a used acoustic guitar.
I can provide additional photographs of the plaque, signatures, Fender label/serial number and provenance to genuinely interested buyers.
