Hello,

It is indeed nice guitar. From the description it looks like one of the older Rogue wooden biscuit-cone resonators that were mainly sold in the US, so they’re not something you come across very often in Europe.

The €300 asking price seems reasonable if it’s in good condition. However, could you let me know:

- Is everything original, particularly the cone and biscuit bridge?
- Are there any issues with buzzing, rattles or damage to the cone?
- Is the neck straight and is the action comfortable?
- Are there any cracks, repairs or other issues one should know about?

If possible, a short video of it being played (a few open chords and a bit of fingerpicking or slide would be ideal) would be fantastic, just to get a sense of how it’s sounding.

Many thanks, and I look forward to hearing from you.

@mikeyd80 It’s brand new and never really been played. It was purchased in New York and brought home.

You can’t upload videos here but you’re more than welcome to come play it anytime.

Thanks for the prompt reply, I really appreciate it. And thanks for reminding me that videos can’t be uploaded here—that was my mistake.

I believe you when you say it’s brand new and hasn’t really been played, so there’s no need for me to come and inspect it at this stage.

I’ll have a think about it over the next little while, and if I decide to go ahead I’ll get back in touch. Thanks again.

I am and ditto! I can’t imagine anything worse than being stuck in an office on a day like today.
