Immaculate condition, purchased new from Geroge's Music in Florida in 2008.
This has been my main acoustic guitar for the past 20 years and has been lovingly cared for.
The guitar has solid highly figured Indian rosewood back & sides and a solid sitka spruce with an eye popping grain top that is beautifully resonant.
The guitar sounds as you would expect a very high end Taylor to sound, Beautiful deep low end, Crisp high end with a midrange that sounds well....."American".
I comissioned John Moriarty who is the official Taylor repair agent in the country to upgrade the pickup system from the Expression 1 to the Expression 2 system which is imho, a vast improvement on the plugged in tone. Far closer to what an acoustic guitar should sound like.
I had it fitted a couple of years ago with a K&K pickup (Also by John Moriarty) which was absolutely fab but decided to return to the upgraded expression as it's definitely plug and play.
I left the K&K barrel cavity unblocked because I knew it would be very possible that I may want to get the K&K refitted and had considered having both pickups fitted but I never got round to it, it's something I've seen & heard on other high end guitars and I would very highly recommend it!
I also upgraded the origonal "ping" tuners with Gotoh 510's, which have a much better gear ratio, the tuning is absoluetly rock solid and they look much nicer.
There are a few small signs of very light usage which I've tried to capture in the photos but the guitar is in superb condition.
I am selling this old friend because I'm getting older and I simply fancy a change so I may consider some form of trade for a guitar of similar pedigree although I would probably prefer the freedom of choosing a guitar of my own choice with a straight sale
Sure try me, I'm feeling adventurous these days...
I won't be responding to stupid offers so if you don't get a reply, you'll know why.The price is the price so if it's beyond you, don't torment yourself.
Nor will I be accepting PM's for a "chat" or a private negotiation, if you're interested, make an offer and if you're close enough I'll contact you by pm to let you know.
Best of luck, it's a top drawer instrument and whoever buys it will have many hours of enjoyment and satisfaction.
