Title and pictures do all the talking on this one. 3rd version of the vintage Sgt Slaughter figure - after the mail-in and Triple T versions. This Warthog version of the Sargent is notable as a collector's piece because it was exclusive to the Warthog vehicle, used new molds, and was the only vintage version to feature a removable hat.

Figure is in very good condition with excellent paint, a new o-ring, clear nail polish coated screws, and tight knee and elbow joints. Left arm has some looseness in the outward movement of the shoulder from the 3 - 6 o'clock position and the swivel is loosish - but more than tight enough to stay where it is posed.

PLEASE NOTE: the forearms are not discoloured - the slight difference in tone is due to the upper and lower arms being made of different plastic. A screenshot of the yojoe.com archive figure is included to reflect this. Notably - the plastic issue was related to the forearms being produced temporarily in a different facility after the 1988 transition of the 'made in Hong Kong' to the 'made in China' stamp which was on all figures from mid 1988 on. The estimates of the number of figures produced with the same plastic is in the very, very low 100's - and when they are available - those versions of this figure command prices in the high 100's. Very minor paint loss on the top of his head - unfortunately common to these versions of the Sgt because of his removable hat. Also the tiniest bit of paint wear in Hasbro's notoriously bad silver paint on the right side sunglass ear piece.

Otherwise an exceptional copy of one of the best Sgt Slaughter vintage versions - a 'refreshed' repainted 2006 version of this figure was recently used as the model for the newest Classified version of the Sgt in the 2 pack with Mercer. Make it yours before someone else makes it theirs!
