Notable Award-Winning Projects Featured:

The 2006 awards panel famously distributed its highest accolades across all four provinces of Ireland:

• The Canadian War Museum (Ottawa, Canada): Designed by Irish-based practice Moriyama & Teshima / Griffiths Rankin Cook Architects (with input from leading Irish practitioners), this landmark international project won a major RIAI award this year under the core conceptual theme of "Regeneration".

• Major Regional Winners: The main 2006 regional awards celebrated prominent civic, community, and educational spaces across Cork, Galway, Mayo, and Dublin. This included landmark public works like new urban infrastructure, libraries, and school campuses.

• Residential & Public Realism: The 2006 publication showcases innovative private residential housing and exhibition winners that pushed the boundaries of traditional Irish rural and urban design guidelines.

Because this 2006 volume serves as a time capsule for peak-boom contemporary architecture, it holds solid reference value for academic researchers, architecture firms tracking heritage designs, and collectors of modern Irish design history. (source: Google)
